Say Hello to Cyber Monday!!

Black Friday is perhaps one of the busiest days of the year in every mall. For those of you who are less familiar with this day, Black Friday is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. is not an official holiday, but, as many workers have the day off as part of the Thanksgiving holiday, this increases the number of potential shoppers.

Some of the larger retailers (depending on the location) such as Sears, Best Buy, Macy's, Toys "R" Us, Walmart, and Target have been reported to open as early as midnight on the start of Black Friday in localized areas and remain open for 24 hours throughout the day until midnight the following Saturday. - Wikipedia

However, there were incidents where fatalities occurred due to stampedes during this day.

So for those of you who can't get time off, or just want to avoid the whole crowd, don't worry, because you still have Cyber Monday!

The term Cyber Monday, a neologism invented in 2005 by the National Retail Federation's division Shop.org, refers to the Monday immediately following Black Friday based on a clear consumer trend that retailers began to recognize in 2003 and 2004. At the time, retailers noticed that many consumers, who were too busy to shop over the Thanksgiving weekend or did not find what they were looking for, shopped online that Monday from home or work to find bargains. - Wikipedia

Buy.com has great bargains right now from the Harry Potter book collection, toys, iPods, laptops and even winter apparel! So make sure you check it out, take advantage of the slashed down prices and free shipping!

This Harry Potter box set has been marked down to $51.38 from the original retail price of $86.93. Free shipping too! Such a steal!! :) So peepz, don't say I didn't remind you to mark your calendars for Cyber Monday!

Midnight Ramblings

I know I should already be asleep by now, since I need to get up early to send my son to kindie. Yet, this past week, I haven't been getting much sleep due to "over thinking"... Plus, the weather hasn't been too kind.. it's sweltering hot!!
Don't bother asking me what I've been thinking too much about. If you've been reading my blog, you would know me well enough to know that I would be only be thinking about 4 things..

ways to make more money, losing weight, going for a vacation.. AND losing weight...

*sigh* I've got a couple of wedding invitations in November, and I have a MAJOR event in the near future as well and as you can see from some of my pics, I could do without those extra pounds.. Not to mention, "Washington". Oh don't you dare, mention "Washington"! More on THAT in the future.. stay tuned! :P

Soooo... time to hit those sneaker stores and finally get me equipped with some snazzy shoes, huh?? At least something to get me motivated and inspired! :)

These Cat Kraze sneakers by Baby Phat are pretty sweet!! Though it doesn't look very suitable for jogging.. but for only $39.99, why not?? FYI, you can get this at JimmyJazz.com!

Victoria's Shack!

The exterior of a RadioShack store in a shoppi...

If I had the money to open up a franchise, I think I'll go for a really cool retail brand like Victoria's Secret or something cool like Radioshack! Yeah, Radioshack would be super cool to open up here! I can see running an outlet here! LOL!

However, franchise opportunities isn't that easy to come by and the MONEY to open up a franchise is waaaaay beyond my wildest dreams. rindu

But who knows, maybe I'll hit the lottery or something, eh?? Can't blame a girl for some wishful thinking....

Shopping Dilemma!

Now that I've established how great it feels to be back, now, it's time to get down to serious business.

Christmas shopping!

I haven't really gotten around to it yet.. Last time, I got it all done in one day, a couple of days before Christmas. However this time, I don't want it to be hectic like that. Luckily for me that time, everything I planned to get for my family and friends were available and within my budget.

I don't know whether I'll be that lucky, though. Maybe I should just get stuff online. I did see my one of those metal candle sconces online that I know my mom would just love! But as with every online item, the shipping here would be a bomb, I bet! But I'm still pretty much undecided, though..

Anyways, I wish all of you all the best with your X'mas shopping! Hope you have all the luck in finding the perfect things for your loved ones! :)

Snobbitchery Gets You Nowhere

Always Something New

It's been a while since we went shopping in KLCC.. I hardly ever go there but since my mother wanted to go (when she was here 2 weeks ago), we braved through the crowd and made it there. So anyways, my mother wanted to go to Marc Jacobs to check out some handbags and the "retail assistant" a.k.a. salesgirl was just sooooo freakin' snobbish!!

Before my mother was done looking at the bags on display, she was already rearranging them back properly. And when my mom was asking something about the bags, she was giving my mom attitude and was very condescending, as if to say, "Obviously you know nothing about Marc Jacobs bags".

So we left because my mom hates hoity toity stores and Syura decided to go back inside and give her a talk-down. Yeah, she was so embarassed and stunned that she was being called out for her behavior that she looked as if she had speech anxiety or something!! Serves her right!!

I've gotta say that out of all the stores, I think the retail assistants at Jimmy Choo are the bestest!!

Bedazzled!

I was watching this show, Stripped on E! the other day and they were showcasing this jeweler that was making a great business making awesome fashion jewelery pieces that were just the rave among celebrities. I for one don't use much "costume jewelery". The only jewelery I wear is my necklace with a small flower diamond pendant that my late father gave to me on my 17th birthday and my wedding ring. That's it.

But after seeing what these jewelers come up with, I think I'd love to own some pieces as well. Some jewelers like Holsted Jewelers, make fabolous designs for such cheap prices as well. You can get rings like the ones here, for less than $50!

Yeah, they're only cubic zirconias and not real diamonds, but they're really pretty and dazzling!

So if you're looking for a gift or you want to indulge yourself in jewelery but can't quite afford the Harry Winston or Neil Lane, then you might want to check these jewelers out!

Shop Smart with Coupons!

With this global recession that's been hitting everyone like crazy, shopping is now a distant memory for me, personally. Gone are the days that I can just give my sister a nudge, head on over to the nearest mall and go crazy at the stores and come home with tons of stuff - some of which still remain in the closet.

Now, the only things I get now are absolute necessities and even if I want to indulge on some clothes and other stuff, they must either be on sale or on sale!!!

So anyways, a couple of days ago, I discovered CouponTrunks.com! And get this.. you can get soooooo many discounts and offers using the coupons for a variety of stores including the awesome clothing and apparel store, Pink Mascara and shoes store, Heels.com! So with the Pink Mascara Coupons, you can enjoy offers such as 10% discounts and free shipping!

I would looove to get a Lauren Moshi tank top!!!

And check out the Heels.com coupon codes! I was so jealous that Syura got a new pair of shoes a couple of days ago, but with these offers, I might get over my green eye envy by getting myself a pair.... or two! LOL!

I'm so excited just looking at them! I just hope they do international shipping!!

De-Stress = Shopping!

With all that happened recently, the sad news of the legendary Farrah Fawcett and MJ's passing and that horrific accident that I heard and witnessed a couple of days ago, I'm thinking it's time to de-stress. I didn't get a chance to follow Syura for her outing at Urbanscapes which sounded like sooooooooo much fun!

Well, since I wanted to de-stress, I took hubs on a small shopping excursion for some lingerie and facial products. Hahaha. No pictures!! Sorry!!

Anyways, it really made my weekend seem a little bit better than how the past week has been. However, you know what would make things a whole lot brighter? If someone got me this Juicy Couture custom tote bags that I saw online!!

Now THAT would make life seem alright again... at least for NOW. :) LOL!

Choosing The Right Laptop For You!

The last time I went shopping for a laptop, which was back in 2007, all I was focusing was on the style more than the specs that the laptop provided. That was until I talked to my eldest brother who was in the computing industry. He gave me lots of advice regarding how to choose the best laptop, what features I should consider and basically the pros and cons between each laptop I was considering at that time.

For those just looking for something portable to do their office work or to blog, a basic laptop a good RAM speed and high memory should suffice. For gaming purposes, you might want to look into a Sony Vaio VGN series. But if you're into advertising, and you do a lot of graphics, animation, art you might want to go for a laptop designed for it, like an Apple Macbook Pro.

So for those who intend to get a laptop or a computer, you best be looking into a laptop and computer buying guide or check out what the Top 10 picks are on the market right now. Good luck and happy shopping!!

p/s: Okay, that was just me posing with a Macbook Pro. LOL! I have no idea how to use the functions on that.. I'm happy with my Acer Aspire 5920 Gemstone that hubby got me for Christmas 2007! But I did manage to fool you guys for a second there, right?? Hahaha.

Costume Jewelry Designer

As I do my bloghopping and my daily rounds of EC dropping, I noticed more and more ETSY shops for designer costume jewelry popping up like mushrooms. A lot of people are getting more and more interested in making a business out of their hobby.. and I think that's a great opportunity for work at home moms (WAHM) to keep their income flowing.

I used to do a lot of jewelry designing myself and maybe when I'm confident enough about my handiwork, I might even show it to you guys. Anyways, HolstedJewelers.com is a costume jewelry website with amazing pieces with amazing quality that specializes in rings, earrings, necklaces and pendants, bracelets, watches, pins, fashion accessories personalized items and birthstones. They make great gifts and they're reasonably priced too.

If you're looking for gift for her OR him, this might be the place to stalk!

The Alleged Allegro

I always talk about online shopping for clothes, accessories, makeup, etc. I guess it's only natural for girls to check about all of those kinda stuff, right?

However, I just found out about this site, AllegroMedical.com, which is actually the first e-commerce site that sells medical equipment and home health care products. The best part is, they have now expanded it's products to exercise and fitness equipment, maternity and baby care products and even outdoor gear. You could even get your ensure plus nutrition drinks from there too!

Best part is, the free Allegro eCatalog offers some serious discounts and limited time specials for those who sign up! Don't you just love it when you get a great bargain?? Totally sweet!!
