Wordless Wednesday: Growing Up Too Fast

My niece, Naeema is 6 months today while my son, little Zaidan Alif, is approaching 4 months exactly on his father's birthday, 23rd March. I can't believe that they're growing up sooooo fast. I can't believe that time has flown so fast, it's unbelievable really. It just feels like yesterday that two heavily pregnant ladies went to the islands for some R and R. Hahaha much to my mom's concern. Anyways, it was good to babysit my little rascal niece today. She's such a good baby and so easy to take care of. :)

*sigh*

There they are. Before you know it, they'll be jumping around and giving their mommies and daddies a hard time.

p/s: I could never grasp this Wordless Wednesday thing. I always have something to say.

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face

About two weeks ago, I gave birth to my 3rd child, a beautiful baby boy and I can't be happier.. or more tired. LOL! Obviously, having a newborn, lack of sleep is a given.. Nonetheless, I won't give it up for anything.

Not many people knew this time around that I was expecting my third child. In the beginning, I wanted to wait until my first trimester was over to tell people, but in the end, I just decided to keep it to myself. It was like a delicious secret that I didn't want to share.

I just figured as long as I told the people closest to me, that was all that mattered. However, now that my pregnancy is over and done with and my baby boy has safely arrived, I'm more than ecstatic to share my news with everyone.

Zaidan Alif, born on 23rd November, 8.35pm, weighing 3.67kgs. Pic taken at 5hrs old.

There are some people (who are rather close to me), however, who refuse to congratulate me -- for whatever petty reason, but it's okay. I get it. Not everyone has the capacity to feel happy for others. They'd rather be bitter and petty and that's okay. The important thing is that my family is happy and healthy and I have plenty of wonderful people in my life.

Anyways, for this Music Monday, I decided to dedicate a song to my darling little son, The First Time (Ever I Saw Your Face), by Leona Lewis -- originally sung by Roberta Flack. The reason I chose this song was because the song rings true with how I felt the first time I saw him.

The first time I held him, he just looked up to me and smiled -- much to the surprise of everyone around me. The nurses, my husband, the doctor.. I thought it was a fluke shot smile, but when the nurse brought him to me that night for his feeding, he gave me another one of his special smiles and I felt like the luckiest mommy on earth. :)

The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the endless skies, my love
To the dark and the endless skies

And the first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth move in my hands
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command, my love
That was there at my command, my love

And the first time ever I lay with you
I felt your heart so close to mine
And I knew our joy would fill the earth
And last till the end of time, my love
And it will last till the end of time, my love

The first time ever I saw your face, your face
Your face, your face

I hope you all enjoy it, have a happy week ahead of you and happy Music Monday! :)

Shopping at H'n'M??

The very much awaited H&M store has opened in Malaysia in the recent weeks and I still haven't made a visit yet. Apparently waiting for the crowd to die down will probably take another 6 months, maybe? LOL! I was planning to go with my girlfriend on a weekday morning, but I heard it's still JAM PACKED with people. Malaysians... I love you, lah. :) You all so free no need to work, is it?? LOL! So rich can go shopping every morning during the weekdays.. Hahaha

Naahh.. It's to be expected lah, right?

Another H&M store has opened in Setia Mall, Shah Alam (aside from the flagship store at Bukit Bintang) but I'm guessing that it's the same there, too.

However, I heard that there's a 30 day exchange policy because the store knows not everyone can make it to the dressing room and try on their clothes and it gives them ample time to make a trip back to the store. That's nice, I think. But finding a size to exchange to will be another horror, I guess.

I just wanna pop in to the store and get some baby clothes for my newborn niece, Naeema. I will be back for her "full moon" so I hoped to get a couple of things for her before I go back this Sunday. But going on a weekend is my worst nightmare, so that leaves... TODAY. Oh my. See lah first.. hehehe

So cute, right??? And they come cheap. Which I love. :) Have any of you dropped by the store yet? How was it?

Jogging with Bob Stroller!!

I am feeling so sluggish right now that what I think I really need is a jog. I know a lot of people who hate exercising, but for me, I don't mind exercise at all. When you feel the sweat trickling down your body, it feels like the unwanted inches on your thighs and tummy are melting away right that instant. Tell me, who doesn't love for extra inches to melt off??

I could definitely exercise via Billy Blanks' Taebo or Bootcamp exercise at home, but I prefer jogging. The wind blowing on your face, the steady thud thud thud of my Nikes hitting the asphalt.. it's really calming.. despite my heart feeling like it's going to burst out of my chest, that is. Weird.. but it's a great feeling.

I wish I could bring my children jogging with me, though. Buddy I can bring, no problem.. he's been on the jogging track with me while I was still living in my hometown..

With Allie, however, I'll need to get a Bob stroller. One of the best three-wheeled strollers for everyday use and jogging, the BOB Revolution maneuvers easily in stores yet is rugged enough for nearly any outdoor terrain! Some strollers can't even go on the road without having the alignment all whacked up!

Yeah.. so anyways, my point is... by hook or by crook.. I think I need to go for a jog badly. But unfortunately, I don't have a Bob Stroller. Anyone wanna babysit for me??

My dynamic duo..

My prince and princess together with their daddy.. (sorry i had to exclude you, hun!) Buddy is so attached to his little sister that my mom has complained to me.. Your son now only reserves his kisses for his sister. He doesn't care about us anymore. Even when my mom or my husband brings him out, after a while, he'll say.. "Buddy want to go home to baby.. Buddy miss baby.. "

I'm so grateful that he's being so helpful and not demanding.. I think because everyone is scared that he'll feel neglected, everyone pays even more attention to him than before. So, he's loving it!

Well, looking at their pics.. I think.. life can't get better than this! :D

p/s: Waitaminute.. maybe life COULD get better... once I can eat "normal" food again! LOL!

Goodbye October, Hello November!

First of all, before I begin, I'd like to give a shoutout to Papajoneh who is celebrating his birthday today! Did I get that right? I hope so.. hehe.. I hope you have a wonderful birthday, surrounded by your beautiful family. May you be blessed with all the best things in life and may all your dreams come true.. :-)

The start of November marks a new month with the latest addition to my family, my beloved bundle of joy, Zaira Alishya who was born on the 29th of October 2007 at 9.58pm. According to my hubby's watch (which he insists is the "correct" time).. the hospital recorded the birth at 10.01pm. All I knew at that time, was "Boy, am I glad the pain is over!" LOL!

As stated in Syura's post, I was really anticipating the birth of my baby.. but by the 29th, I was still not feeling anything yet. My next appointment with the doctor was on the 31st by which, had I not felt any pain, I would be induced. But it got me thinking, my hubby's leave ended on the 31st and Syura had to go back to KL on the 1st.

So, with the permission of my husband, slight disapproval from Mom, no announcement made to the rest of the family, I called the doc and asked if I could be induced on that day. Since I was 2 days overdue anyways, the doctor agreed. So, while waiting for my hubby to get ready, I "sempat" go to Papajoneh's blog to spam his cbox and drop some comments. Hehehe..

Here I was at the hospital after being induced..

Me and Buddy enjoying ourselves in my single bedded room..

The fabulous sisters.. Hehehe..

I can't remember what time this was (gotta ask Syura) but yeah.. I was still feeling very chipper and could do maybe 5 somersaults. LOL! (okay.. that's pushing it way too much)

Anyways, I began having some mild contractions at 9pm, around the time my hubby came back from dinner with the family.. Then sometime around 9.20pm the contractions got harder and I was brought to the labour room/operation theatre. By 9.58pm (hubby's time), my lil girl was born!

Here she is, making her first official appearance!! Thanks to my beloved sis Syura, the photographer, without which, this moment will be missed and will prevent me from sharing this with all of you..

Baby Allie's first photo ever, some 20mins after birth.. Thanks Rara for giving me the honour of posting this photo officially..

There she is.. Finally!! For your viewing pleasure. Stats: 3.41kgs (weight) and 50.5cm (length).

Proud papa looking on.. while Mom and Bro check out Baby Allie..

I'd really love to post more pics of Baby Allie but I'd let Syura continue.. After all, it's her pictures.. I promise to post more soon.. Hey, she's only some 72 hours old.. There'll be more time for picture taking sessions!

So, that's it for now..

I'll continue more after Allie's feeding..

I'm outtie...

Still waiting..

Uh-huhh.. I haven't gone anywhere yet. Just taking a few days off from blogging to get some much needed rest and to ease the building up tension that's caused by hormonal effects of pregnancy.

So.. what did I do?? Well, I just stayed at home while the others went out, yesterday. Since, Buddy was out, and my brother was sleeping, the channels were free for me to surf! Yay! No more Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney and no more Discovery Real Time, Star Sports and ESPN! Phew...

However, after flipping through the channels, (and I tell you, I was so "sesat".. still pressing number 40 for HBO! LOL!), I was so disappointed at the choice of movies that ASTRO decided to air around 3pm. So guess what I ended up watching??

Hehehehe.. The Bold and the Beautiful! I seriously can layan that show, you know! And I didn't even know that Constantin Maroulis (you might remember him from American Idol 5, i think), was on the show as well! As himself, a recording artiste.. but will soon have a romantic link to one of the characters. Huhuhuhu.. That really got me laughing!

Anyways, the hubby went back to KL oredi.. he has to work but is on standby on every available flight back to KK! hahaha.. serves him right! So far, just been feeling some mild contractions.. nothing major! Tomorrow is my due date.. and if the baby is anything like Buddy, then I'm guessing I'll be overdue.. again.

So basically, the house is just waiting for some major drama to happen... :-)

p/s: The baby cot that's still waiting for it's tiny occupant..

Please excuse the messiness of the room.. :D

Done Shopping!!

Phewwww... I have finally finished the baby shopping yesterday afternoon! I was too pooped out to write about it though.. Even my mom was telling me, "Enough with the baby's things!" I don't think I bought too many things, though, because when I took out all the stuff out, there were only 6 pairs of clothes that I bought. Which I doubt is enough! However, I'm sure I'll be getting some more clothes from friends and family once the baby is born. Don't get me wrong.. It's not that I'm expecting ANYTHING, but that's just the way things are when a newborn is around. Right?

Most people ask me why I'm bothering with all the baby stuff when I could just easily use Buddy's hand-me-downs.. The thing is, I gave most, if not all, of my son's stuff to Danial, my nephew when he was born. Thus the need for all this new stuff.

My favourite purchase of the day, however, had to be the shoes that I bought for the baby!! A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!!! Well, to me lahh.. I soooo couldn't resist!!

:-) Okay, enough of the baby talk.. I know some of you out there think that this is getting old, right? Oh well, it's not everyday that I get to feel the anxiety of expecting a lil' one.

Tomorrow the hubby is coming back.. At last I've got someone to talk to regarding all this.. Someone who feels as excited as I am! The peepz at home are just... less than enthusiastic, methinks. Except for Buddy, that is! He can't wait to become the "Big brother/Taiko".. hehehe..

That's it for now.. I hope everyone has a great weekend! Take care.. Drive safe!

16 more days...

According to my scheduled due date, that's how much longer I have to wait. However, my firstborn was some 10 days overdue. So I don't know about this lil' one..

Yesterday, after jumping back in bed with my son, I continued my beauty sleep until around 10am and woke up to get ready for my doctor's appointment. The doctor seemed pretty happy with the progress, and said that I'm ready to give birth any day now. Erkk.. Basically, the doctor told me that "If nothing happens, I'll see you again in a week's time.." Ooookay..

Anyone wanna have a wild guess on when the baby is actually gonna arrive?? Hahahahaa.. maybe I could have a giveaway contest here on my blog.. LOL! That would be pretty fun, wouldn't it??

Heavenly guide for parents-to-be..

oooOOOooo.. Don't you just love to browse for things online?? I have to admit that I've been pretty addicted to all online "browsing" ever since I found out that I'm expecting my second baby. It's really really crazy the things they have. I feel like I want to have 'em all.

The only part that pretty much gives me a hard time is going from one website to another.. It's pretty taxing, really. Not on me, but on my poor computer. However, for those mum and dad-to-be out there, I found the perfect baby shop for you! It's really really amazing.

Lilaguide.com is the perfect guide to bring you around and see what it is you need for your little one. It is definitely the one-stop guide to bringing your baby into the world. They can tell you where to bring your baby for a haircut, recommends pediatricians, helps you find the best maternity clothes, the best baby gear (i.e. strollers, twin strollers, baby slings, etc) all in one website!

The only downside is, so far this website caters for U.S. Citizens only. But perhaps, they just might extend their business worldwide. Parents and parents-to-be across the border can always keep their fingers crossed!

Starry eyed..

I kinda dig this baby crib for my little one. Pretty snazzy huh?? I'm checking out websites for baby furniture and drooling over all the cutesy and gorgeous stuff. I wish I was in KL shopping for all the baby things I need. Sure, you can get stuff here in KK, just that, my shopping partner in crime a.k.a Ratu Syura, won't be able to come back until Raya. *hmph*

So, for the time being, while I'm still figuring things out - the whole "where do I shop" situation, I will continue to browse online and get a gist of what I want for MY baby.

On another note, HAPPY 1 WEEK OLD, Presley and Preston.. two of PapaJ's latest addition to the family!! Congrats again, PapaJ!
